Adina Tucker, LICSW/LCSW
The safe space for real talk, unlearning the past, and embracing your whole self.
I became a therapist because I know what it feels like to believe that no one understands you—or worse, that no one cares. If you’ve ever felt like an outsider or carried the weight of things that weren’t your fault, you and I are already speaking the same language. I specialize in working with those who have experienced complex trauma and deep-rooted family dynamics that just refuse to let go.
The truth is, your past survival tools got you where you are today, but now they might be holding you back now.
We all learn coping mechanisms to get through tough relationships and overwhelming experiences. They kept you safe then, but sometimes those old strategies feel like heavy luggage today. My role isn’t to judge or change you; it’s to meet you exactly where you are and, with warm, direct encouragement, help you sort through that old survival toolkit. We’ll look at what you’re carrying and decide together: “Is this still helpful, or is it time to gently unlearn it and pick up something better?”
Real Talk, Real Partnership
I love an active partnership. Your therapy journey is entirely yours, which means I need to hear your voice! I promise to be direct and honest about the strengths I see—and any blind spots that might be making your path harder. If I suggest a resource, and you know deep down you won’t touch the homework, please tell me!
You are the expert of your own life. I’m simply here to bring the extra mirror, support your goals, and celebrate the incredible moment when you realize you are feeling better, happier, and finally living the life you designed.
If I sound like a good match and you’d like to schedule a session, you can do it here.
